Our Migration Story Talk with Herminia Esqueda at the Yakima Valley Museum in Yakima

The story of how seasonal farm work grew into lasting Valley communities.

About

Herminia Esqueda leads an evening on the history and legacy of Latine migration to Eastern Washington, tracing how seasonal farmworkers from the Southwest came to the Yakima Valley and turned temporary work into thriving communities. The presentation is given first in Spanish and then in English, each paired with a musical performance by Lorraine Peterson, with a reception in between.
