2026 Indigenous Suicide Prevention Walk

Event description: A free Toppenish walk for awareness, hope, and healing — open to everyone.Yakama Nation Awtni Shix̱witpamá / Yakama Nation Behavioral Health invites the community to honor loved ones and strengthen suicide prevention together. After a morning keynote, participants walk from the Tribal School to the Cultural Center for information booths and lunch. Free and open to all.

Note: Keynote: Elwood Pipestem-Ott at the Tribal School gather. Walk to Yakama Nation Cultural Center, 100 Spiel-yi Loop, Toppenish. Information booths and lunch after the walk. Yakama Nation employees may request administrative leave with supervisor approval.
